Wantage Community Larder

The Larder is here to reduce food waste and create a community hub. It is based on a model developed by SOFEA whose work transforms people’s lives by giving young people a purpose and by providing the support they need to flourish. Find out more about SOFEA here.

Find the Community Larder
We are open on Friday afternoons in the Lockinge room at the Beacon, Portway, Wantage, OX12 9BX. The Larder is open for 2 separate sessions:
1.30-3pm
and
3.15-4.45pm
On joining the larder you will be allocated to the first or second session depending on available spaces. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred choice where possible.
You can find out news from the Larder on our facebook page.

Activities at the Larder
From time to time we have additional activities at the Larder, such as kids crafts during school holidays.

The Mix Community Fridge is also present at the Larder each week, offering any surplus food for free to anyone, whether a larder member or not.
